Homework

Week 1

1. Overall decisions to be made this week-
    a. Figure out a book/zine/multi-page layout/pdf design project you want to work on.
    b. Figure out a project you would like to fundraise on Kickstarter for (this can be your design project
        above, or a completely separate project).

2. Kickstarter
    a. Poke around the site and check out other projects.
    b. Check out the "Starting your project" page and watch the video.
    c. You may also sign in and create a profile by clicking on the "START your project" button.
    d. Connect with Amazon payments in your project setup
    e. If you start having ideas for perks, your promo video, your project write up for your Kickstarter
        page, start jotting them down.

3. Figuring out cost$ related to the Kickstarter/Design project(s)
    a. If you are printing your book, roughly figure out # of pages and price out how much it will cost to
        print your book (remember to including shipping!)
    b. list additional costs, i.e. any fees, food, travel, lodging, equipment. We can always size costs
        down, so put everything down for now.


Week 2
The goal is to have everything except the video completed for your Kickstarter campaign by the time we meet for class on Week 3. This includes-
1. A campaign title
2. 1 liner project description
3. Project description
4. Minimum amount of money you would like to raise (remember to include 5% to Kickstarter and 3% to Amazon + $ needed to fulfill your perks)
5. Perk/Award levels and types (remember to include how many of each- unlimited/1, 2, etc.)
6. An outline/script/storyboard for your video. 


Week 3
1. Finish your "Call Out" posters. Make any revisions/suggestions we went over in class. Save as .ai file.
2. Have everything plugged into your Kickstarter project pages- this includes your project title, one liner, description, amount of money to be raised, the perk levels and perk offerings, also your bio and and picture of yourself. 
3. Be ready to shoot the video for your Kickstarter.
